Sustainable procurement in construction21 April 2009, London
An overview of sustainable procurement practice in construction
With the impact of the Simms report on procurement and changes in government spending, environmental and social pressures are exerting an ever more important influence on our organisations. This course has been developed by Action Sustainability and customised specifically for the construction industry in association with CIRIA to provide a unique day looking at sustainable procurement
The course is designed for people in all positions of the innovation procurement cycle tasked with addressing the impact of their supply chain on the environment and the society in which we live. The course is ideal for those who have either just started or wish to start to gain the knowledge and confidence to tackle sustainability issues in their organisation’s supply chain. For those organisations already leading in this field the course is excellent for procurement and environmental staff new to these issues or to budget holders without a professional purchasing background but who need to be aware of the sustainability impacts their decisions can have.
